The real reason nobody reads my blog
The real reason nobody reads my blog is that no one, or at least hardly anyone knows I exist.
The above link says the following:
The real reason why nobody reads your blog is this: massively successful blogging is about establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships. It’s all about who you know. Really!
I need more people to know me. I don’t think its so much that I don’t know many people. I’ve spent years on the internet lurking - too shy to say anything. I know a lot of people, they just don’t know me.
I’ve been planning to work on using Twitter more, but too many things have came up and I haven’t had time yet.
I can’t even start thinking about adding more blogs at this point - I’ve been working hard writing - but still hardly any readers.

Well, just so you know, I subscribe to your feed and am following you on Twitter….many of us feel lost in the huge crowd of the blogosphere…but step by step, we make ourselves known and so will you!

I’ve just started blogging and am not great a promoting myself either. Introverted yes, but more overwhelmed. There is so much to read and so many people to talk to - yowzer!
So, I understand what you are saying. I’m subscribed to your site, do follow you on Twitter and MyBlogLog. We’ll just do our best, eh?

Thanks David, Ash and Loraleigh!
I still haven’t been using Twitter very much though - I really need to start doing that!
And yes, it is really overwhelming! Writing is one thing - but then keeping up with everyone and everything can be difficult!

Hi Trisha,
Many readers are lurkers feeling they don’t have anything to contribute. Only thing is they might surprise themselves by asking a question that someone else was also too shy to ask.
By commenting you are also giving the blogger confidence that ’someone’ is reading their blog and interested enough to come back. You can also offer feedback which can also help to improve the quality of the blog.
Contributing on blogs is definitely a way of building relationships. I’ve met some amazing and helpful people along my journey. You never know where this relationship will lead… just like my new venture with Mona for our HerProBlog.COM.
